Win a slice of XP cheese if you tell us where Microsoft should put Copilot next

What's that coming over the hill, is it an AI?

Competition Do you need a bit of Bliss in your life? Come up with a suggestion for where Microsoft might stick Copilot next, and an XP-themed Windows Ugly Sweater could be yours.

The sweater debuted in 2023 and arrived at Vulture Central in a natty box, replete with an XP-themed card instructing the wearer on donning the garment, impressing friends and family, showing your progressive credensh by chatting about The Nature Conservancy, before finally putting the fabric friend away until next year.

We never removed it from its packaging; it remains a sealed time capsule from 2023. You'll be able to breathe in the sweet, sweet air of yesteryear before pulling the sweater over your head and remembering the excitement of that first Windows XP installation.

And it could be yours, in all its XXL glory, in return for a suggestion of the next place Microsoft might shoehorn its AI assistant, Copilot.

There seems to be no limit to Microsoft's ambition for Copilot. The recent "Copilot Earth" announcement could be seen as an indication that the company intends to take its generative AI assistant to places no one has been before.

Or perhaps it might turn up closer to home – generative AI technology has made its way into Notepad after all. It isn't too good at spelling, though. Despite some well-publicized whoopsies, Copilot still insists, "There are two 'r's in the word 'raspberry'. The English language sure loves to keep us on our toes with its spelling quirks! If you have any more language puzzles or questions, feel free to ask!"

It sure does, and no – we'd rather not ask any more questions. If Copilot can't count the "r"s in "raspberry," we'd hesitate before tasking it with anything more complicated.

But what do you think Microsoft should do with Copilot next? Where would the generative assistant be most helpful? Use the comment section below, and after a week, the grizzled hacks at Vulture Central will select one that raised the loudest laugh and send out this splendid garment as a reward.

Sadly, while anyone can share their thoughts, we can only send the sweater to UK addresses, so bear that in mind if you want to be in with a chance to win a piece of XP Bliss. ®
